Sessions

Next-gen  sessions, designed for younger players of all ages, take place 2nd  & 4th Sundays every month, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Flanagan's Harp &  Fiddle (4844 Cordell Avenue, Bethesda, MD).  It's an inter-generational mix of kids and adults, a good place for  beginning and intermediate  players to learn some new tunes, share some  of their favorites, learn a bit about session etiquette and have some good craic.  Information about other local sessions can be found here

For the wee folk MAD Week’s Youth & Kids Camp is a creative, nurturing, inclusive program for rising 2nd  through 7th graders interested in the Irish Arts. Suitable for all levels, students will have the opportunity to build their traditional music and dance skills, explore traditional arts, participate in community gatherings (sessions and ceilis), and collaborate with their peers to build a unique end-of-week presentation. And best of all – have fun!  This camp is day-camp style with before and after care available. Students with no instrument experience can begin with the tin whistle. Experienced musicians can join suitable main MAD Week classes.
